Resources
The resource pool — people, materials, equipment and cost items — stocked from a shared library and carrying the rate and capacity everything else calculates with.
Who it is for. Small teams and enterprise PMOs. A shared library plus per-project pools is what a multi-project organisation needs; a solo planner uses it as a rate list.
What it is for
Rates and capacities get retyped per project and then disagree, so resource cost and over-allocation both become untrustworthy. This holds the pool that every assignment, cost roll-up and capacity histogram reads from.
One number — max hours per day — feeds both the units-to-hours arithmetic and the capacity histogram. In many tools allocation percentage and capacity are defined independently and quietly drift apart.

Four resource types
Work, material, equipment and cost, each with its own treatment through the rest of the product.
One definition of a full day
A resource’s max hours per day sets what 100% allocation means for that resource, and it is the same number the capacity histogram uses as supply. Allocation and capacity cannot drift apart.
Import from the global library
Pull selected resources into a project; anything already there by code is shown as added.
Delete is blocked while assigned
A resource still referenced by assignments cannot be deleted, and the message says how many.
Cost resources excluded from capacity
A cost-type resource has no working day, so no meaningless capacity line is drawn for it.
